About the event
Tom Crow and the Ghostriders play their own self penned songs with virtuoso fiddle - foot stomping bass and songs steeped in South Wales valley life and folklore. Little songs with a big heart. Songs of protest, injustice, struggle and hope in a heartfelt acoustic rootsy folk Americana or Celticana style. A transatlantic hybrid of Seth Lakeman and Jason Isbell. They have featured regularly on BBC Radio Wales Celtic Heartbeat, Welsh Connections and amongst other independent stations such as Acoustic Routes and Daz in the Hat. This has led to prestigious support slots with the folk icons such as Martin Carthy, the award winning Merry Hell , sharing a stage at Cambridge Fringe with John Boden ( Bellowhead) and recently the superb Welsh independent act Climbing Trees. Vignettes of ordinary life in extraordinary times through extraordinary lives hiding in plain sight. Music that is relevant and vibrant in uncertain times with rhythms and reflections you had forgotten were in your bones.
